Team Mode



Émilie: Unfortunately, I really dislike seeing tans, especially ones of beautiful, pale skinned girls like yourself. Though you hair is a beautiful colour, my eyes go straight to that tan. Unfortunately, the combination of the hair style and tan is, to me, giving vibes of a reality tv star, or worse, a porn star.

Emma: I quite like this. It's simple, but in a way that isn't boring, and that's a tricky medium to hit. Your facial expression and pose are definitely owning it, and I think the hair itself is absolutely gorgeous (if a bit messy for my tastes). Great work!

Yoona: I'm not a big fan of your hairstyle but I think it looks okay on you. I really like your body language. Even though this is very simple and plain, somehow you just managed to make it works for you.

Alex: Yeah i'm not a huge fan of the hairstyle and your eyes just look very weird. But it's still pretty!

Amanda:
For a shoot about Hair — this isn't enough —
It doesn't pop out, it doesn't Shine.
You're almost too dark, which takes away.
The truth is you still look fine —

It goes back to that this isn't enough —
Your Outfit is good, your Face decent.
That's all there is to say, but —
You have to do better than what's Recent.





Émilie: It's a cute photo, you look nice and sweet. Your hair looks healthy, but it's just hair. There's nothing to make it stand out. It's a very safe photo. I will give you points for making your nose less obvious. But is this your picture on your resume? This is a modelling competition, not a casting for a TV series.

Amanda:
Fresh, young, and cute —
But almost lacking Charm.
There's something to ask
What is that on your arm?

It's better than the Last —

Emma: This one is a tad plain, to me. It's nice, and the hair is nice, but it's all just kind of generically nice in the same way that a jar of yeast in your fridge is nice - you like it, and you appreciate it for what it is, but you're not really going to write epic poems about it (unless you're Amanda), and after a while you'll probably forget about it. So, yeah.

Yoona: Your hair looks great and shiny. The smile is very cute. I think you look fresh and full with energy. This is definitely better than last week

Alex: Yes im loving your hair and the smile is something iv'e been wanting to see but it is a bit plain.





Émilie: Très jolie. I think this is a very different side to you, especially considering what you can do. It's very bright and the expression is radiant. Look at that healthy hair. I think I quite like it.

Emma: Ye gads, it looks like you're about to leap out of the picture and devour me. Seriously. That facial expression is downright ghastly, and I actually can't look at it for more than a few seconds. The pose is good, and the outfit is good, and the hair is reasonably well done... but the face... good grief, the FACE...

Yoona: Lol, Emma... I like the concept actually. And your hair looks great too. But you need to work on your face, girl.. And that outfit... Just throw it!!!

Alex: This is very plain but i'm loving your facial expression and the hair.

Emma: I like this photo, but the hair doesn't really jump out at me terribly much. I think the pose is good, and the facial expression and makeup are both really strong, and the hair itself is good, but there isn't anything about the hair that really makes it special, to me. Still, it's a great photo.

Amanda:
Your face is first, before your hair —
It's almost CoverGirl, not shampoo.
The lighting still awkward —
But it's still very you.

This is good but not great —
The hair is fine — but not in focus.
The lighting might be why —
Something to rhyme — hocus pocus?

Émilie: Olivia, I'm glad to see you back in the game again after the first two weeks' photos. It's a beautiful photo, and your features look amazing. But I agree, it's for Covergirl, not Garnier.

Yoona: This is way better than last week. You look very confident and I love the hair. I love your face here and the way you flirt with the camera by using your eyes.

Alex: This is a good picture. Like stated the hair doesnt pop but it's still good.

Emma: I like the action and vibrancy you've got going on here, and the hair is definitely the focal point. I'm not terribly sold on the facial expression or the pose, but the outfit is nice, and I like your accessories, so yay!

Yoona: i've seen the photo before. I think the hair is really stand out. And your neck!!! Loving it. I love this profile shoot of you. I think you'll be okay, Taylor.

Alex: The hair is amazing! i love how it's all over the place and this is great.

Émilie: It's a very cute photo, you look shy and reserved. It's sort of endearing. Your hair looks beautiful and healthy. However, that shy and reserved thing is sort of a double edged sword. It does look endearing, true, but I cannot feel any energy. If this were a spread in a magazine, or an advertisement, I don't know if I'd stop on this page.

Yoona: I will stop!!! I like this side of you. I think you have such a flirty eyes. And your hair this week is definitely gorgeous. I love the way you style your hair. It looks very shiny and beautiful.

Emma: This is a great shot, Ashley! I think you've done a marvellous job with the hair, and your facial expression is positively angelic! Simply stunning.

Alex: Yeah this is very amazing. I love how your hair is the focus and everything about this photo is amazing.





Emma: Not a huge fan of the color in this photo. It's a little drab, and it doesn't quite emphasize the hair enough to really justify it. However, I do think it's still a beautiful shot, and the hair itself accentuates your facial features very well. Nice work!

Amanda:
It's too bleak, it's too old!
Your Hair isn't shiny — it's the grain.
You still look good, that's something —
But at this point, I must refrain —

Émilie: I appreciate the retro-ninties Asian photography here. As beautiful a beauty shot this one may be, I feel that it isn't hitting the mark here, as far as the task at hand is concerned.

Yoona: I think the hairstyle looks good on you but the overall concept of this photo just doesn't work. I think it would be better if this photo was in color. It will give this photo the vibrant that it needs

Alex: This is so cute and innocent, but it's very plain. I dont think i could see this as a shampoo add.





Émilie: Beautiful hair, I love the colour and the style. It really shines through the rest of the photo. As for the photo: It's soft, it's pretty, with a very period sort of styling, and a modern twist: The green eyeshadow. That comes all together quite nicely to compliment everything together. Although, my one criticism is I don't think you fit in well with the style.

Yoona: Beautiful hair. I love the setting. Very fresh but I'm not a fan of your face. You look very intense here. And kinda old actually

Alex: I like your face and everything else. I like the scenery as well.

Amanda:

Emma: This is a pretty nice shot. I think the facial expression is good, and I really like the makeup. It's good without being garish. The hair is also really well done, and it really frames your face well. Good work!





Émilie: Loving the energy here, Lindsay. Your hair is definitely the centre of attention here. I have a slight problem with the hair over your pretty face, and the arms, but other than that, good job!

Emma: Well, this is definitely a hair-centric photo, and there's a really great amount of energy here. The facial expression is actually kind of frightening, to me, but I like the outfit, and the hair is bombastic, so great work!

Yoona: I think this is good but not great. I think your face expression looks too much. But the hairstyle, the hair color looks great on you. My concern is just on your face. But I love the energy that you gave us.

Alex: This is amazing. It put a smile to my face and i love how it's so fun and about you. Great job!

Amanda:
Not sure how this could be an ad —
It's too scary, creepy, Freaky —
A major turn-off for a product

Émilie: There's a very 90s look about you here, it's very classic. But at the same time, it's dull. I do not know if this is the right hairstyle for you. But truth be told, I may have accepted a candid from you this week, because I know how beautiful your hair can look on the red carpet.

Emma: Honestly, there's no problem with submitting a red carpet if it's the best you've got. That being said, this isn't too bad. I'm not really sold on it as a hair-focus shot, and I don't particularly like the facial expression, but the pose is really nice. Well done!

Yoona: I'm not a fan of this Michelle. You look like a girl from 90's who traveled through a time-machine and accidentally lands here. The hairstyle didn't look great on you.

Alex: I'm not a fan of this picture. This is so boring and plain. I like your face though.

Amanda:
This might be Model — it might not —
It's too Dated and low-res.
The Hair doesn't attract —
It looks more like a Candy ad for PEZ.

Yoona: I think it's a very simple studio shoot. But I kinda like your face. And I love the wind on your hair. Compared to your photo for last two weeks, this is much better

Emma: The facial expression is a bit odd (and actually kind of simian) for my tastes, but I think that the hair is absolutely fantastic here. I kind of wish it was a stronger photo overall, since your outfit is blurry and the face isn't great, but the hair itself is delightful, so overall it's a positive for me.

Amanda:
It is a mess — it really is —
The quality is off, It is —
An apeish look, as Emma said.
A Photographer not a Whiz —

Your hair stands out —
That alone is Good.
But nothing else Is

Émilie: Contrariwise to the other judges, I am really liking this photo. Though your face lacks some intensity, you are beautiful. And your hair is definitely the main attraction, and does a good job of outlining though beautiful features of yours. Just remember not to just rest of being pretty, that will only get you so far.

Alex: Yeah i really like this photo. I'm a fan of your face and your hair. I think it was amazing.





Yoona: The make up is a little bit too much but I love to see this hairstyle on you. It makes you look edgier than before. I think the mouth is a little bit stiff so you should work on that. But I love that you giving me a neck.

Emma: Wow. This is something we definitely haven't seen out of you before, so props on going outside the box. I think that the hair is a bit frizzy and out of control, though, and since it's such a departure from your normally wavy look, I kind of wish it wasn't so messy-looking. Still, it's not bad...

Amanda

Émilie: The styling here is atrocious. I know it's a risk, and something different, I don't think it worked in your favour here. Your neck, your hair: They look great. Everything else: Not so much.

Alex: Hm wow, this sort of scares me. The make up is so much here but i like how your hair is the focus.





Émilie: You look really beautiful in this photo, and I'm loving how the hairstyle is the main focus point here. I really like the vibrant colours here, and I LOVE how your features really stick out here. This is the face of a model.

Emma: I quite like this. I think the hairstyle is fresh and unique, and it draws the focus quite nicely. I also like the accessories, which keep the photo from being boring. Not as much of a fan of the face, though. You look disgusted almost to the point of being diseased, and that's always a little off-putting... Still, it's very good.

Yoona: I really like this Mischa. Your hair looks different and unique. I love your pose here. Very flirty and charming. I think you took a risk this week and it worked.

Alex: I look at this and i cringe. What is up with your hair? It just doesnt hit me right. I'm also not a fan of your facial expression.

Amanda:
This is good, but not that great.
It's almost unrealistic — it's Natural wanted —
This is more for gel than shampoo —
It's almost like your Hair is Haunted

The styling is good — but the Face poor
Your eyes decent, the Pose less
It doesn't all come Together —
But at least it isn't a Royal mess.





Yoona: It's a very cute Bob, but I'm not sure if the hairstyle makes you to stand out more from the rest of the girls. But I really like your face this week. Very commercial and you have such a nice smile

Emma: I really like this! It's simple without being plain, and that's a hard look to pull off. The hair itself is kind of messy, which contrasts with the clean and composed look of the rest of the picture, and that rankles me somewhat, but overall it's a very fresh and engaging picture. Well done!

Amanda:
This theme about hair, it's what we want —
Based on that alone — this won't deliver.
Your face is great, as is your Smile
But the hair could send you up the River.

It's still simple, still energetic —
It's almost a Risk, which helps a bit
All in all, you're probably Fine —

Émilie: I think your red hair would've worked better for this shoot. The shoot for me was about focusing on healthy, vibrant hair, and working as a shampoo commercial, you could've focused on keeping coloured hair looking healthy.
Your first photo is really cute, but that's it. It's rather plain and boring.
The second photo is better by a long shot, but at the same time, I think it misses the mark on the hair part. Even though your hair is beautiful, and it sets your features off really well.

Yoona: i agree, photo number 2 is more suitable for this week, so I'm going to rank you based on that photo. Your looks very shiny here. I wish you wouldn't hold your hair and just let it go. Other than that, I like this photo

Alex: I really like both of them. They are both cute but number 2 does more for you!

Amanda:
That one is better — that alone is true.
The longer Hair works better for the Ad —
You look fierce, Sexy and fierce —
Therefore, more points are to be had!





Émilie: Allow me to offer my critique since I didn't really get a chance to on our date. I like that it's a risk here, especially compared to those other photos which had bright colours. It's especially risky because it has no colour, and it's very classic... But I am a sucker for classic things, Selena. The great thing about the 40s and 50s is that they always have amazing hairstyles, and this is no exception. That's why I like it.

Yoona: I think the hair looks great on you. But I'm not sure the concept work for you this week. I wish this would be a color photo than a Black & White so we can see more of your personality. This is too moody for me. Not as strongest as the photos from last two weeks

Amanda:

A strong face helps much —

Emma: I think this might be my favorite picture out of anything you've ever submitted, Selena! The hair is gorgeous, and the pose and facial expression are breathtaking. Fantastic. Simply fantastic.

Alex: I love how this is something different from you. I like it in black and white. Is it the best no? is it up there? yeah it is!

Émilie: I love this Shilpa! Though all the colours blend in, your features just pop out, especially your eyes and your hair! And the hair is what this is about. Your hair looks vibrant, healthy, and it also catches your eye. I'm really loving this. Great job!

Yoona: Oh My God!!!! I came here and I didn't expect to see this. This is stunning for me and the fact that your teammates chose to exclude your score this week is totally a wrong decision. The hair is the center of attention here. I love your face. Simply one of your Best Photos ever.

Emma: This is definitely one of the best shots we've ever seen from you. The hair looks amazing, and even though it's a fairly monochromatic color scheme, it's still distinct enough to make it stunning. Amazing job!
