No seriously, everything that fits anything is either low quality or is a terrible shot. I swear it's a conspiracy!


Anyway...

Mardi Gras





I chose this shot and Mardi Gras because of all of my options, this was the only shot I really liked a lot. This series of shoots was very energetic and over the top in a very different way than Taylor usually goes for. These shot were playful and somewhat candid and felt like a parade.

I had to do a bit of color adjustment to get it to work, but the 3 main colors of mardi gras, gold, green and purple are all present, and it has that sort of parade-inspired fashion and energy that I think of when I think Mardi Gras.

It isn't a perfect fit, but I think barring using some of the washed out mutations of this series of photos, it's the closest I'll get to any holiday, and at the very least, it's in style and a shot I really like.

Émilie: You look French here, so why didn't you choose Bastille Day? Bastille Day would have been perfect, but Mardi Gras... I see zero percent Mardi Gras here. Neither the traditional Mardi Gras, nor the gay and lesbian Mardi Gras in Australia. I mean you look great, and amazing and all, but it completely misses the mark.

'Ve never even heard of Bastille day... generally the Mardi Gras celebrated in New Orleans which is the one I'm most familiar with has a touch of french fashion and influence because of the origns of that area, so that was another thing I was thinking.

Yoona: You really look great here. I think you look very modelesque but as for Mardi Gras, not so much. This photo is very beautiful but it would be more perfect if it fits the theme better.

I posted Bastille Day in the photoshoot thread. If you had time to search for pictures, and edit them, then you definitely had time to research holidays. It could have made finding a suitable picture all the easier

Emma: I think this is a very good shot. It's a strong pose, and the outfit is adorable. I do think it could have fit the theme better, but other than that I don't really have much to quibble about.
