This was by far the hardest shoot... but I won't be using my bonus this round. I get the feeling its just going to get harder from here, and I'm about as satisfied as I can get with this shoot. GrenadeI'd catch a grenade for you Throw my hand on a blade for you I'd jump in front of a train for you You know I'd do anything for youGrenade is actually an extremely emotional song. I completely forgot that due to the fact that my local radio station just likes to play the same 5 songs over and over again and one day they decided all 5 of those songs should be Grenade. It's been a long night and I seriously question my ability to explain this in any way, but basically after rediscovering this song, I realized I needed something strong and bold to match. I think I went through every single image I had to find something with the kind of energy and imagery that I wanted. I think the pose here, arms stretched out, head raised, reminds me of sacrifice and giving yourself into something, the root of the emotion in the song being unreturned self-sacrifical love. The deep reds here are often used as the color to represent love, but with the movement and energy of the fabric also give the picture the imagery of an explosion, like a grenade going off. The explosion of energy, the color, the pose, I think everything fits better than I could have ever asked for. I wish I could get ahold of a higher quality version, but I've looked and I cant seem to find it if it exists.

Émilie: I think this is an example of taking the name of the song literally, and it working. Your photo looks like a representation of an emotional explosion. I think your pose here is great, however, zooming in, your face isn't quite working. It's not entirely a good angle for you. We can see your brain.

Emma: Hmm, yes. It's somewhat hard to actually make you out in all of this. Though I do think you have excellent execution of the theme, it seems like you yourself are kind of lost in the middle there, and it's hard to judge based on that. I think the pose is pretty strong, but not a fan of the angle of your head. Still, it's not terrible or anything...

Yeah, that was one of my main issues with this. Unfortunately I can't actually take these photos myself, otherwise that would have changed a bit (also I would have the DQ image and not this )

Yoona: I'm a little bit torn this week, Taylor. There's a part of me want to love it but I agree with Emma. You look like you're lost. And the outfit kinda overshadowed you.

Amanda: I have nothing to add, really. It's an amazing shoot with emotional explosion, and taking the song to a literal extreme and finding it a way to make it work. It works great for the song - except for the face. It's not intense enough. It doesn't fit with the rest of the photo. Still, for me that's not a major quibble, so good work
