Hello Final 7!!!
Welcome to Moscow, Russia!!! Russia is the capital, the most populous city, and the most populous federal subject of Russia. The city is a major political, economic, cultural, scientific, religious, financial, educational, and now FASHION. However for one of you, this is your last photoshoot here in Moscow.
Let's start our judging session
Émilie: There are five of you in this picture to judge, and not a single one of the five are impressive. I get the theme here, so that part's checked, but you look really trashy here, and I will say hoochie. This isn't even classy sexy, it's just trashy.
I will give you the fact you have amazing legs.
Emma: I like your take on the cloning theme. It's clever, and I quite like clever. However, I do agree that the hooch factor is off the charts here, and that's rather unfortunate. The outfit is nice, and the posing is largely good, but the makeup and one or two of the gestures really make it a touch on the trashy side. Still, overall it's not bad.
Amanda: It's hoochy, it's plasticky, and it's Photoshopped. This looks like five different images from the same flipbook. There's no awkwardness of meeting your own clone here - it's not like a scene from a movie (only, you know, not a screencap) where you encounter yourself. We wanted you to paint a scene like that, not take five images from the same shoot and lump them together. You are very sexy, I will give you that, but it's perhaps a bit too much, and at the same time, it's also not enough. It's trashy and that is really off-putting for me. It isn't horrible, but given that this is the final seven you should be worried. Sorry Amber :/
Yoona: I like this photo actually. I think the message were clear. No Cloning!!! or maybe Yes to some pervert. But I like the fact that some of you in this photo were emotionless. Overall it's a good photo for me
Emma: This photo is rather generic for me, in it's just kind of you sitting there with a fur. You look something between bored and offended, and it's really not exciting either way, I'm afraid. Still, the accessories and hair are quite good, so it's not bad...
Émilie: Rich and snobby is what you look here, like a lot of women that wear fur... However, there's a difference between wool and fur, by the looks of it, you are wearing wool, and no animals were killed in that process. Well, none that matter. I mean a few insects and parasites maybe... But I digress, you look amazing, your face is amazing, but the theme could be anything.
Amanda: Awesome as always, but I must concur that I'm not completely buying the theme here. It doesn't look like fur - but wool and fur are sort of the same thing - animal skin used by selfish snobs for their own warmth. Of course, there is no anti-wool movement because sheep are more expendable for the most part. Maybe that's what you're crying about - that it's not fur? I'm not totally sold on the face really... but still, you look great, and despite the lack of theme and the face, this is enough to get you to the next round. Good job Ash
Yoona: I think you executed the theme well here. I love your face here. Very confident and I got you passion towards fur or wool. But I think your mouth a little bit stiff here. Work on that
Émilie: Remember what we said to Rihanna last week about re-using shoots... Well you used from this shoot twice (In a row) last cycle, and now you're using it again, you have more shoots than that.
Anyway... Anti-gun? I don't know if that works, if you had have said World Peace, or anti-war, maybe if could have worked better. Can you have a war without guns? Yes, it's possible. There's just... I am not really sure, the anti-gun message doesn't reach me.
Amanda: I don't see anti-gun at all. This shoot looks familiar. We can hardly see your face. The leg is awkward and has absolutely nothing to do with the theme. I mean, it is a peaceful photograph, but if someone asked me the theme, I would say something along the lines of "tranquility" rather than "anti-guns." Even IF I am going to learn how to fire a gun on Thursday...
Yoona: I tried to understand this photo too, but I just can't. There's no neck. I don't think you connect to the camera well, Freida.
Emma: I also don't really see any connection to the theme, which is too bad, because it's still a lovely photo. The pose is interesting, the hair is beautiful, and the outfit is fantastic. The flowers are also a nice touch. But the anti-gun message really just isn't there at all, and that's too bad.
Emma: I really like what you've done with this. The facial expression and the bruising work well together to make a strong statement without having to beat us over the head with it. The lighting is also fantastic. The only real critique I'd have for this is that a full body shot might have been nicer, but really it's strong enough that I don't mind. Great work!
Émilie: Frankly, if you hadn't've said anything, I would've had no idea that you edited this yourself. I think you make a black eye look like the in thing, and I can definitely see the point against domestic violence, it could even work as an ad against it. I think this is a fantastic beauty shot, and I think you look amazing.
Amanda: You're getting good at graphics. You gave yourself a black eye - I wouldn't have the guts to do that. You took a beauty shot and took away the beauty and made it painful. I actually like that it's zoomed in here - it shows the intensity of your face, that you are in pain from an abusive husband (or girlfriend, given Black Swan and all) and that you're trying to cope with it. I love it - this is easily one of your best.
Yoona: Natalie!!!!!!!!!!! Finally!!! I've been waiting for you to come up with this!!! I think there's a story. Love your effort. And the concept and execution are great. Strong week for you girl
Émilie: You didn't choose your avatar, so it's okay.
Anyway, a picture of you outdoors isn't going to cut it with the theme of "environment". What's the message? Are you concerned about deforestation? Do you think man made global warming is a hoax? Do you think cows fart too much? You're just standing in front of a plant for me. Modelling wise- strong face, weak everything else.
Yoona: I agree with Emilie. Strong modeling attributes. From the pose, styling. I really like that. But in term of your issue, I don't think it really stressed out your issue really well here. So I'm 50-50 with this photo Rihanna
Emma: I think you definitely had something going here, and this was a tough photoshoot, so I don't really fault you for not having it perfectly. However, I do agree that this photo is only peripherally connected to the theme, and that's unfortunate. It's still a very strong pose, and the facial expression is positively savage, so overall it's not bad at all.
Amanda: You're outdoors. That means we should care about the environment?
I basically agree with everything. The issue is not at the forefront, but given that this is a difficult theme that's understandable. The pose is good, as is the face - but your hair is a bit too much and sort of obscures just how strong your face is. I'm also not sure about the bikini because it seems more "Fourth of July" than "Earth Day." Still, it's decent - it just isn't the champion that got three first callouts in a row. Don't expect to leave though, since it's good enough.
Yoona: As an Anti-Fur myself, I really like this photo. I must said that, I really want to "enter" the photo or something like that and release/save the tiger. The concept is very unique girl. However I think your face, it should be more strong. That's my problem this week only. Other than that. WHOA!!!!!!!!
Émilie: I like fur, but it's terrorist groups like PETA which make everyone scared to wear it, and they're a hypocritical one at that. Just saying.
Anyway, I think you deliver your message very well here, and yet another surprise from you. The picture could work as a picture against fur, or against animal cruelty, like in a circus.
I can understand the aspect of the sexual tiger, as sex sells in images like this, but I think if you rotated your body a bit so we could see all your legs, rather than having one amputated. I love the intensity in your eyes, but it doesn't translate into your mouth very well.
Emma: I really like this. The theme is definitely there, and the pose and facial expression really sell it quite well. The makeup is really well done, as well, and overall it's quite strong. Nice work!
Amanda: Em, don't get me started on PETA. People Eat Tasty Animals...
I'm not completely sure about how dressing as a cat is "model." I get that this is showing animal cruelty, but you're still wearing the fur, even if it's faux. Your makeup is also fantastic - it effectively turns you into a tiger without being overbearing. I'm not sold on the catsuit but aside from that, it's a very strong, memorable photo, and that's great for you. Good work!
Emma: I like this quite a bit. The theme is definitely there, and you really nailed the kind of awkward connection thing you were going for. The pose is good, the outfit and makeup are good, and overall it's quite nice. I really don't have much more to say, I'm afraid.
Émilie: It's a rather melancholy atmosphere which captures the essence of divorce quite well. Rather than the heart break and family tearing apart that's usually associated with the divorce thing, we are seeing the effects on the two individuals, and the heartbreak they are going through.
I love the styling, and I think this could easy work as an anti-divorce ad.
Amanda: I really love the concept here. You're lonely without each other, and the falling out caused the door to be put up, for you to be in two separate worlds that need to collide again. As someone who plans on marrying right the first time (a story which you know all too well), I can relate to that longing. It's an inventive shot, and for that I must give you props. There is one gripe I do have though - when I look at you, my eyes are immediately drawn to that ugly obnoxious thing on your head. It takes away from your face, and that's not what we want here. Aside from that, everything is great - the styling, your face, yes, and the setting. Good work!
Yoona: I love that you addressed the Divorce issue because I think it's really important since a lot of people affected from the divorce. I love the set. The concept is very sad and it worked well with the issue here. I think this is a good week for you again, Taylor
