Probably not the most mindblowing or impressive shoot ever witnessed by man, but I think what this lacks in drama it makes up for in raw, untouched beauty. I love the pose, the expression, and the colors surrounding Taylor that add to her and her natural beauty rather tha distract or detract from it. Minus making the grass just a little less neon, I didnt do any editting or fancy filtering or lighting, because that goes completely against the point. The true focus here is the natural and the beautiful, and this is both.

Amanda: I don't know about the hair covering your eyes here - for a "natural beauty" shot, we really do want to see them. It's an effect I do like with hair, but here it just seems... disconnecting. That aside, this is fabulous! The pose is natural, your lips are inviting, and it's a simple, though quite young, photo. That bracelet is a bit distracting from your face though - it's a bit too dark. I do honestly like this, but I don't completely love it for all the reasons I said. I think you'll be moving on regardless

Émilie: I'm probably going to get a lot of crap for this from Amanda, but I don't like it. This is not a good angle for your face at all. I've had a browse of other photos from the set, and it's really just the angle of the face here, and in combination with the pose, it really takes a lot from the photo. There's no doubt you are wearing no make up here, and that's fine, but it's the angle and the pose that I really do not like at all.

Amanda: Looking at it again... I like it less actually. The face looks somewhat masculine now... what?

I can see what you mean, though I felt like the others in the shoot this was from were all somewhat awkward. Taylor is gorgeous even without makeup, but when they went to a photoshoot to showcase it, they set her at odd angles and used far too much bright scenery and natural light that makes them look surreal and somehow even faker than the ones with makeup.
I will admit I was only able to go through this single set, because my net would be in question after the time that I submitted it. Of this shoot, I ultimately chose this shot because it seemed the most interesting and put Taylor's natural, make-up free beauty on display without surrounding her with over-whelmingly fake super-saturated scenery or extremely washed out lighting.
I don't think this is the best angle, because it showcases eyes that aren't exceptionally in strong contrast with the rest of her face (she's once said eyeliner is her best friend because otherwise it looks like she has no eyes), leading the picture to come off a little awkward.
But I still think it's a beautiful shot. Her hair and expression are livelier than the others in the shoot, and here she is the gorgeous, undisputed focus. Unfortunately I can't change camera angles and altering the face to make the eyes pop more or add a little more bit of flare would have gone against the spirit of the shoot, so I didn't do that.
I don't know why I needed that big spiel just in response to her face seeming "manly." Its been one of those terrible days and I needed to vent my inner rage towards life into something positive. Why overtipping my taxi driver and critiquing my own photo are helping my absolute rage at the last few hours, I really don't know....
But anyway, basically, I recognize this isn't perfect, but I believe this to have been the best option I had while stayed true to the spirit of the shoot.

Yoona: I like this photo. Masculine? Really, ya'll? I think it's very sweet, we can see you face very clearly here. No make-up and you look so pure. Good styling and very fresh. Those side bang is cute. I'm going to take a picture of myself with this pose and style.

Emma: I agree about the masculine thing. It's very reminiscent of a photo from a Battle Royale contest I was in this past September. Of a boy. Anyway, that aside, I think the posing and scenery are absolutely fantastic for this, and while the hair detracts from you a little bit, it's still quite good. Nicely done!

I'd say the face is just generally androgynous. I'm seeing that, not seeing where it crosses to full on masculine. If I saw a guy looking like this sans pretty flowers and hair I'd think he looked mildly feminine.
Not arguing, just thinking out loud!

Androgynous is a great word to describe this. It's highly covetted in the modelling industry.
