Shilpa's already posted her picture and labeled it "Exotic Seductress". I want Shilpa to do well, but I think she either chose the wrong picture or needed to say "Exotic Beauty" instead. I don't really read seductress from her picture. It's a nice picture, but depending upon how the other girls do, she might rank fairly low in this.
I hope she doesn't, though. I want her to stick around for a bit.

Michelle's now posted her picture. I like it. I don't think it's one that will win her the challenge, but it's a good picture. Her description does help, but I wish she left off the word "inviting" at the end. That pose is more "flirtatious, but hesitant" than it is "flirtatious and inviting".
I think her styling is a little quirky and her pose is flirtatious. Once again, I don't think it's a winning picture, but I also don't think it's one she should worry about.
On a side note, I hope Mischa comes up with a great picture (I find myself rooting for everyone from Cycle 7 just because that's the Cycle I played). I'm not a big fan of her choosing "Girl Next Door" as her persona. That's a generic phrase used to describe generic girls, so I think she should have found a better wording to go with than Girl Next Door. Hopefully she pulls it off, though.

Is anyone else as disappointed as I am with the girls persona choices so far? Megan's obviously suits her, but "girl next door","fabulous", and "mysterious girl"...can't they get a bit more inventive than this? You gave them some fantastic examples (hell, Selena even copied one of them)...I just wish they'd step out of the box and get those creative juices flowing!

I'm kind of with you, Milla. I've been a bit disappointed in the choices... Especially the phrasing.

This is true. Plus, no persona beats Ninja Kitty. Just sayin'.

Dear Amanda,
Yes, your new judging style is a cute idea, but your rhyming and rhythm skills are atrocious, and your critiques generally aren't making any sense. For the love of all things holy, please go back to the intelligent, witty Amanda we all know and love.
Yours truly, Milla

I agree that I'm disappointed in the choices for a lot of personas this round, too I like Ashley's picture. I didn't go back and look through that previous Cycle to see her photos throughout that competition, but if you told me that Ashley was going to choose Mysterious Girl as her persona, I'd be surprised and wonder how she'd pull it off. Well, that picture is how she'd pull it off. Love the hair, love the face, love the pose, love that it's in black and white. Basically, I love it. Go Hilary Ashley! When it comes to Camilla's picture, I agree with everything Emile has already said about it in her judging. It doesn't look like a modeling photo. Yeah, it fits the theme, but beyond that it's not a good photo. She could definitely be in trouble this round. I like Kate's picture. I see the "Fun and Bubbly Girl" in it. I like the movement in the hair and the dress, but the pose and and face keep it light and fun. The color of the dress is spot on, too, as it evokes a more fun and light-hearted feel to the whole thing. I don't know if it'll be First Call Out material (I think Ashley's is stronger, but it's not up to me ), but I think Kate has nothing to worry about this round. Like Camilla's picture, Lea's picture hits the theme she chose correctly, but doesn't really do much after that. The picture itself is better cause it looks like a professional shot, but there are more interesting way to convey "Calm" than that picture. She could be in trouble, but I think she'll just be a later Call Out than in actual danger of elimination. Overall, I like Rihanna's photo. The pose fits her theme well and I like the use of the prop. The clothing style doesn't read "Fabulous" to me, but pretty much the rest of the picture does. The water flying in the background really adds to the picture, too. Without it, I think it would have been a more static photo. I love love love love love Selena's photo. The perfectly fits the theme of the photo shoot and every last thing about it is spot on. The lighting, color scheme, pose, hair, face, the part of the dress we can see, the necklace, the shade of lipstick she's wearing, everything about it just fits the theme perfectly and I can't find one negative thing to say about it. I think it's a definite top contender for this shoot. So, so far with the girls who have submitted, I think that... Top Contenders: Ashley, Selena Safe: Michelle, Rihanna, Shilpa, Kate In Trouble: Lea, Camilla

For the love of all things holy, please go back to the intelligent, witty Amanda we all know and love. Yours truly, Milla I can't practice? I'm trying to get better here. I know some of the things aren't rhythmic and I'm working on that. My rhyming is good, though, and insulting me isn't going to get you anywhere. Who the hell are you, anyway?

Amanda, you rhymed "know" with "no". I'm not trying to be mean, I'm only saying that a lot of the critiques are rather hard to understand, and since you have such an interesting, unique, and informed take on most things, I think it's a shame that you are limiting yourself to these extremely short and choppy comments by using prose.
By the way, I'm Milla...it's lovely to meet you!

If I didn't have so many to judge, I would take more time on each of them. The thing/setting and know/no were brain freezes that I chose not to try to get out of so I could finish judging what I could... xD Yes, I admit those two were bad but I'm having fun with this. As the game goes on, I will produce better stuff, trust me. I just want to have fun with something different and get poetry practice. Not all of them will rhyme - this round yes. I'm finding it hard to critique like this so knowing me, it probably will only last a few rounds...
Nice to meet you too!

I think the Cycle 7 ladies submitted the wrong banner for the Reward Challenge. Of the ones they posted in their work thread, JLaw's was the best. I would have liked to have seen hers in color, but it looked the most clean and polished of the three banners they came up with and I think it was better than Mode's for the same reason.
